Accounting Assistant
 Location: Hartford, CT
 Compensation: $50,000

We're working with a client looking for an Accounting Assistant to help keep their financial operations running smoothly. This role is ideal for someone who's organized, detail-oriented, and ready to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.

• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes

• Prepare and process invoices, vendor payments, and expense reports

• Reconcile bank statements and help with month-end close activities

• Maintain and update accounting records and databases

• Provide administrative support to the accounting team, including filing and document management

• Assist in the preparation of financial reports and financial analysis

• Respond to inquiries from vendors, customers, and internal teams

• Perform data entry and ensure accuracy of financial information

• 1+ year of experience in an accounting or administrative role

• Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles

• Proficient in Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)

• Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multitask

• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
