Accounting Assistant

Our client in the real estate industry is seeking an Accounting Assistant to join the team! The team is easy going, highly collaborative, and friendly. The position is 100% on-site in a beautiful office and provides free parking in their private lot.

Tasks / Responsibilities:

• Review, code, and process incoming vendor invoices and subcontractor payments
• Resolve vendor statement discrepancies when necessary
• Set-up and maintain vendor records
• Record journal entries
• Assist w/ 1099 processing
• Assist with reconciliations
• Assist with maintaining general ledger
• Assist with monthly and year-end closing activities
• Support accounting team in various areas
• Record construction job cost allocations
• Assist in fixed asset tracking and depreciation schedules
• Assist w/ documentation and reports
• Collaborate with project manager and internal teams to ensure proper cost coding

Qualifications

• 1-2 years accounting experience required
• Experience with Sage preferred
• Basic GAAP knowledge
• Strong Attention to Detail Skills
• Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills
• Construction / Real Estate Experience highly preferred
• Knowledge of subcontractor billing preferred
