Quatrro Business Support Services is seeking an Accounting Manager in Chicago, IL for our nonprofit division. The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the full-cycle accounting functions of multiple clients. This is a hybrid role, requiring 3 days/week on-site with a public health client in Chicago, IL.

Responsibilities: 

  • Delivers accurate and timely financial statements, providing coaching and counseling to stakeholders and operations managers
  • Owns and manages the clients' monthly financial statements, plans, and schedules. Leads the budget process and incorporates periodic analytics
  • Builds and maintains successful relationships with clients and key stakeholders, providing them with world-class customer service and consulting
  • Works closely with clients to solve issues related to complicated financial statement situations
  • Monitors finances to aid clients functioning within those guidelines and provides financial analysis and advice to clients
  • Provides best practices within Quatrro to help the client improve their business execution 
  • Coordinates with other internal Quatrro teams for consultative support on all financial services
  • Accesses and contributes to the organization’s subject matter expertise objectives
  • Provides leadership, mentoring, and guidance to cross-functional teams aligned to a particular client delivery process
  • Addresses client concerns and issues to ensure they are resolved promptly

Qualifications:

Educational Background and Experience:
  • 4-year degree in accounting, finance, or business with an accounting/finance focus
  • 4+ years of accounting experience
  • Proven experience being client-facing and overseeing multiple client accounts
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and functions
  • Skilled in working cross-functionally and collaboratively with multiple teams and clients
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge of industry-specific accounting software and advanced Excel skills
  • Business acumen and ability to communicate with key stakeholders and C-level executives
  • Growth mindset
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent time management skills

Nice to Have:

  • CPA/CMA preferred
  • Experience in the grant administration and management of federal, state, and local grant funding
The estimated pay range for this position is $85k-$110k/year.
