Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced ICD-10 Coder to join our home health care team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical coding within a home health setting, ensuring compliance with all applicable guidelines and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately assign ICD-10 codes to diagnoses and procedures for home health care services.
• Review and analyze clinical documentation to ensure coding accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to clarify documentation and coding discrepancies.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines, regulations, and industry best practices
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance coding accuracy and efficiency

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related field preferred.
• Current coding certification (e.g., CPC, CCS, HCS-D) from a recognized accrediting body.
• Minimum of 2 years of ICD-10 coding experience in a home health care setting.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and coding software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
