Our Cooks will assume grill or line responsibilities within the kitchen requiring attention to detail for food preparation. Cook: $ 19.00/hour Essential Responsibilities: Utilize proper recipes, equipment, tools and utensils Ensure that food is prepared, portioned, held and served at correct temperatures and presented according to standards Assist in coordinating the flow of work within the culinary department to maximize quality and efficiency Qualifications & Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent and experience in food preparation in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently and in a high stress, fast paced environment Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility in an often tightly quartered environment. The original structure was completed in 1972 and has undergone five expansions. In total, there are 71 meeting rooms, 11 exhibit halls, and three multi-purpose ballrooms. Now one of the largest convention centers in America, the Indiana Convention Center is connected by skywalks to more hotel rooms than any other city in the nation. Also linked to the center is a four-story urban shopping mall, surrounded by more than 200 restaurants and clubs, well-known sports venues, and a 10-block state park that features top museums, green space and a convenient canal walk.
