Job Description:
As the Controller, you will be responsible for managing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and accounting processes for our homebuilding projects. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with financial regulations, maintaining accurate records, and providing strategic financial insights to senior leadership. Your expertise will directly contribute to the company’s financial health and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for homebuilding projects.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Manage cash flow, cost controls, and financial planning for current and upcoming projects.
  • Supervise and mentor a small team of accounting professionals.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors as necessary.
  • Assist in strategic decision-making by providing financial data to support business development and expansion.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting/finance, with a strong background in homebuilding or construction.
  • Proven experience in managing financial operations, budgeting, and reporting.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction accounting practices, cost control, and financial reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in accounting software.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to manage and mentor a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
