About the Creative Director
The Creative Director (CD) is a discipline leader and a storyteller, operating at the intersection of design, technology, and strategy. They work with VPs and executive leadership to ensure that the experiences we’re designing and building are fit for purpose and best-in-class and are ultimately responsible for the performance, structure, behavior, and decision-making of the XD teams they oversee, generally across multiple lines of work. Further, Directors are not only experienced practitioners of our processes and methodologies, but are also able to merchandise, defend, and articulate them to both clients and internal agency stakeholders. The ideal Director candidate is as much a performer as they are a scientist, capable of owning a room and selling their vision to even the most trepidatious or recalcitrant of clientele. They foster bon homme and inspire design excellence across the company writ large. Successful Directors are the ultimate arbiters of strategy and execution for the teams they oversee and possess an acute understanding of both Verndale’s business goals and those of their clients.
