Must have ATLAN Demonstrated understanding of metadata management, data governance, and lineage concepts

PURPOSE:

We are looking for an experienced data governance professional to assist with the roll-out of our data catalog product.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Shepherd teams through onboarding process, facilitate conducting UAT, and help upskill users
2. Refine roles and responsibilities and role-based security access requirements for users who require CRUD access
3. Continuously improve processes for business stakeholders to create, update, and delete business metadata
4. Assist data stewards/owners with defining glossary terms and provide ingestion support
5. Ensure adherence to data governance best practices
6. Develop operations administrative user guide and services catalog
7. Develop "Playbooks" and execute "Playbook" ingestions and reviews
8. Develop measurements and process to monitor tool performance to identify any issues or areas for improvement
9. Partner with communications lead to conduct training and champion the data catalog product
10. Define and execute controls to confirm completeness and accuracy of metadata
11. Develop daily health check process to confirm continuing data catalog functionality
12. Collaborate with Product Manager, Platform team, IT to ensure future integrations/connections are set up and onboard applications to Atlan based on roadmap priorities

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Minimum five years' experience in data governance or data analysis role
2. Proficient in implementing/managing data catalog products
3. Demonstrated understanding of metadata management, data governance, and lineage concepts
4. Excellent problem-solving skills
5. Strong verbal and communication skills
6. Highly self-directed with the ability to multitask
7. Experience with Atlan Must Have
8. Hospitality experience a plus

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree in information management, Data Science, or related field. Saxon Global
