The Director, Media owns paid media strategy, marketing analytics, experimentation, and optimization in partnership with our agencies and internal teams. Primary responsibilities will involve optimizing and scaling existing marketing campaigns and channels, while consistently generating and testing new ideas that can grow into key revenue drivers. This is a critical role for the company with direct business impact ensuring we capture as much demand while also maintaining a balance between CAC and customer lifetime value. The ideal candidate will combine his or her deep understanding of the digital media landscape, a performance mindset, and incessant consumer curiosity to consistently generate creative new experiments, ranging from new audience targets, new channels or bidding strategies, etc. to drive growth and ROI. We are looking for a Director, Media who is very analytical, data driven and hyper focused on driving growth. In conjunction with Park Marketing and Finance teams, provide reporting and analytics for park admissions products.

  • Lead national and local media planning and execution across offline and online channels such as TV, radio, OOH, print, direct mail, search, display, mobile, social, OLV, OTT and affiliate marketing.
  • Responsible for media planning, execution and optimizations to effectively reach the core target and deliver against sales and traffic goals.
  • Manage and supervise a team in day to day media management while also leading the process of strategic media planning/execution and serving as a resource for the team.
  • Identify new sources of customer acquisition through emerging platforms, partners, strategies and channels.
  • Improve the forecast for each channel, make budget and goal recommendations, and manage SWE's media investment to drive optimal ROI.
  • Track the core performance KPI’s on a day-to-day basis, making sure that the team is executing and optimizing in real time to hit goals.
  • Optimize planning and measurement strategies, including the definition of key performance metrics to improve customer acquisition cost and LTV.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with relevant 3rd party vendors and partner agencies. Ensure consistent, high-quality work from our existing external partners, and build out strategy to maximize partnerships.
  • Present and sell through key findings and future plans to Senior internal stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What it takes to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • 5+ years in managerial role leading a team.
  • Experience in media strategy and marketing analytics.
  • Theme park or hospitality industry with focus on guest relations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours to meet team output expectations.
  • Strong presence with ability to interact and partner with Senior leadership.
  • Ability to work independently while able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Outstanding written, verbal, analytical and presentation skills; ability to effectively distill and communicate actionable insights.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong time management and organization skills; ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
