Job Description

Overview:

Diversified Gas & Oil Corporation (DGOC) is an established owner and operator of producing conventional and unconventional natural gas & oil wells and midstream pipelines and compression stations concentrated in the Appalachian Basin in the United States. Headquartered in Birmingham, AL, our field operations are located throughout the Appalachian Basin in the states of Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. In 2021, Diversified announced our expansion into our Central Regional Focus Area, which includes producing areas within Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. Responsibilities:

The Equipment Operator will be responsible for safely and efficiently supporting the well plugging and abandonment team in their operations throughout West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.

 

  • Safely and efficiently assist with moving rigs and equipment from one location to another, including trucking of water, cement, and pipe. Adhere to all laws and safety protocols and regulations.
  • Ensure proper access to well locations by building location sites in preparation for rig equipment and operations.
  • Complete basic location and road remediation following the completion of the well.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and perform general maintenance of trucks and equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety standards are met.
  • Prioritize safety at all times. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Report all safety issues, hazards, and incidents immediately. 
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Communicate and coordinate with supervisors to meet project deadlines.
  • Coordinate with rig employees and other personnel to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks.
  • Complete necessary paperwork such as trip and work logs, inspections reports, delivery receipts, and time reporting accurately and promptly.
  • Perform other operations support or duties as assigned, per direction of management.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Valid DOT medical card.
  • Class A CDL is a plus.
  • 4+ years of experience operating equipment in the oil and gas industry preferred.
  • Experience using winch on dozer to move equipment preferred.
  • Knowledge of local and state commercial guidelines.
  • Willingness to travel and work out of town on a frequent basis.
  • Knowledge of H2S gas.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Basic computer skills/proficiency.

 

 

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

The individual must be able to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to work or visit within areas where it is required. This includes hard hat, safety glasses, respirators, earplugs, steel-toed shoes, or other protective equipment as required by the location and work performed.

  • Visually seeing driving operations well (either naturally or with corrective lenses).
  • Walking, stepping, climbing or otherwise moving from one location on the job site to another, and normally involves physically getting into and out of equipment through the use of vertical mounted ladders up to and including 10 feet or more in height.
  • Standing, stooping kneeling, squatting, climbing and sitting.
  • Repetitive movements by feet, shoulders, arms, wrists, hands and back in performance of work.
  • Working at elevated heights
  • Lifting 50lb or more objects occasionally.
  • Carrying 50lb or more objects occasionally.
  • Adapting to outdoor conditions and prolonged exposure to varying weather conditions.
  • Remaining calm during emergencies and respond appropriately as dictated by the circumstance of the incident.
