The Boeing Company is currently seeking **Flight Software Engineers** **(Associate / Experienced / Senior)** to support our **Flight Software Team** located in **El Segundo, CA** . In this role, the individual will lead a team with design, implementation, and test of flight software with a focus on leadership, quality, earned value, and development of new capabilities for current and future satellite programs. This position will support the Boeing Defense Services ( **BDS** ) business organization. We are seeking Software Engineers that are passionate about space and excited to work in a multi-disciplined, collaborative engineering environment that supports the design, development, and implementation of software for existing and emerging Boeing commercial and government space programs. This exciting software engineer position requires demonstrated experience within the software ecosystem, a diverse background of project experience, and the clear exhibition of superior judgment and decision making to engineer new solutions and support existing capabilities of multiple software programming projects. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at El Segundo, CA** **Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):** + This position requires the ability to obtain a SECRET US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. Ability to obtain Interim-SECRET US Security clearance Pre-Start and Final-SECRET US Security clearance Post-Start. + Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science + 2+ or more years of experience designing and developing software for a real-time or non-real-time system + 3+ years of experience in software development using languages such as C, C++, Java, Rust, or Python **Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):** + Level 3: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience + Level 4: 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience + Experience with the full software development lifecycle that includes requirements analysis through Formal Qualification + Experience using team collaboration tools including GitLab, Bitbucket, JIRA, and Confluence + Experience in embedded real-time software development + Experience with Wireshark or other network analysis tools and Debuggers + Experience automating software builds, unit tests, and integration tests using a DevOps tool chain **Travel: -** No travel is anticipated for this position. **Relocation:** This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
