About the Role

The Company is seeking a Head for Catastrophe Modeling Strategy. This client-facing leadership role is pivotal in driving the vision for gathering market requirements, scoping global models, and advancing model communications. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of Model PMs, engaging with industry bodies, and ensuring that the model roadmap aligns with client needs and the latest scientific developments. A key aspect of the role is to provide thought leadership on extreme event risk and to represent the company in client conversations and strategic discussions. The candidate will also be involved in defining the climate product strategy and will be expected to meet success metrics for the product management function. Applicants must have a deep understanding of catastrophe modeling and its implications for the insurance industry, with at least 15 years' experience in key cat modeling roles or with modeling vendors. The role requires exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, as well as excellent leadership and coaching abilities. A strong background in a senior leadership position with a proven track record of cross-functional collaboration is essential. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, a problem solver, and capable of managing multiple stakeholders in a complex organizational structure. The position demands a high level of influence and the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization, clients, and industry professionals.
