Job Description

Responsibilities

We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer Intern to join our West Hartford, CT team. The ideal candidate for this position should have excellent mechanical, analytical, and problem solving skills, good writing ability, and must be self-motivated with good interpersonal and team skills. Familiarity with principles of mechanical engineering, experience with a 3D modeling software, understanding of basic manufacturing techniques.
  • 3D CAD modelling of aerospace components and assemblies from existing drawings or from guidance of other engineers
  • Design tooling/tooling assemblies, or fixtures and create drawings for manufacturing of parts
  • Prepare various CAD models for use by analysis team or other engineering groups
  • Perform various engineering hardware evaluations and tolerance studies

Qualifications

  • Pursing a Bachelor's in Manufacturing Engineer, Mechanical Engineering or related field with a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Strong 3D modeling experience
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels in the organization
  • Candidates must be a US citizen or a US Permanent Resident
