An opportunity has arisen for a skilled candidate to provide valuable services in a high school setting located in Schenectady, NY. This role is essential for facilitating effective munication for students who are deaf or hard of hearing, ensuring they receive a quality education in an inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide interpretation services for high school students during classes and school activities.
• Utilize American Sign Language (ASL) to translate spoken language into sign language and vice versa.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and other professionals to support student needs.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
• Adapt interpreting techniques to suit the diverse munication styles of students.

Qualifications:

• EIPA score of 3.5 or higher.
• Previous experience working in an educational setting is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage effectively with students and staff.
