Power BI Developer (Local to Torrance, CA) Contract Duration: 6 - 12 months (with possible extension) Hybrid Role Pay Rate (On W2 Only): $60 - $65/HR (Based on experience and the skills looking for) Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Power BI Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, data modeling, and database management, with extensive experience in Power BI and related technologies. Key Responsibilities: Perform data analysis to support business decision-making. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, translate technical specs, document and deliver actionable insights. Create and optimize data models to ensure efficient data retrieval and analysis. Develop, design, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards. Integrate Power BI with various data sources, including databases, cloud services, and APIs. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, security and governance across all reports and dashboards. Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI tools and functionalities. Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in Power BI and data analytics. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or in a similar role. Strong proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Report Builder, Power Query and Power Automate. Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing. Proficiency in SQL and database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL). Familiarity with other data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, QlikSense) is a plus. Worked in Agile organization and be familiar with Agile methodologies like SAFe Agile, knowledge of Jira, ITSM etc. Strong communication and collaboration abilities. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and their data services. Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or Java. Certification in Power BI or related technologies.
