Essential Job Functions

As a School RN, your responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining high nursing standards while providing care under supervision.
• Performing treatments and procedures with skill and competence.
• Administering medications as per physician orders and parental consent.
• Participating in Health Plan meetings and school conferences.
• Attending continuing education programs to meet licensure requirements.
• Promoting student rights and overall well-being.
• Documenting services accurately and in accordance with agency policies.
• Collaborating with other professionals to support individualized student needs.

Requirements

To thrive in this role, you should have:

• A degree from an accredited Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate School of Nursing.
• A current, unrestricted state license as a Licensed Nurse in New Jersey.
• Current CPR and Basic Life Support certifications.
• Proficiency in clinical assessments and compliance with nursing policies.
• Continuing Education as required by state regulations.

Physical Requirements

This role requires:

• The ability to speak, write, read, and understand English.
• Capability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with patient repositioning.
• Prolonged walking, standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing stairs.
• Visual and hearing acuity, along with a strong sense of smell and touch.

Environment
