Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join our educational team. This role is pivotal in supporting the mental health and emotional well-being of students, providing assessment, intervention, and consultation services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in psychotherapy, crisis management, and behavioral health, with a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.

Duties

• Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students' needs and develop appropriate intervention strategies.
  
• Provide individual and group therapy sessions focusing on emotional regulation, social skills development, and coping strategies.
  
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create supportive educational plans tailored to each student's unique challenges.
  
• Implement crisis intervention strategies for students experiencing acute emotional distress or behavioral issues.
  
• Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary, ensuring effective support throughout the academic year.
  
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with school policies and regulations.
  
• Participate in early intervention programs to support at-risk students and promote positive mental health practices within the school community.
  
• Provide training and resources for staff on mental health awareness, crisis management, and effective communication with students facing challenges.
  

Requirements

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field is required.
  
• Valid state licensure or certification as a School Psychologist.
  
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to psychological assessments and interventions.
  
• Experience in patient assessment techniques and familiarity with behavioral health practices.
  
• Proficiency in crisis management and intervention strategies for children and adolescents.
  
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with students, families, and staff members.
  
• Prior experience in social work or related fields is a plus but not mandatory.
  
• Commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of psychology and education.
