Job Summary Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services or designee, the School Social Worker provides comprehensive school social work services to parents, students, and school staff, addressing barriers that limit a student from receiving the full benefit from their educational experience; responds to referrals from school administration, parents, teachers, and others by providing direct services and by assisting families in accessing appropriate community resources; works closely with teachers, administrators, parents, school psychologists, school counselors, and other educators to provide coordinated interventions and consultation designed to keep students in school and help their families access the supports needed to promote student success. Interns will be considered. • Upon hiring, salary placement will be determined by the number of upper division/graduate level units earned from a WASC accredited four-year college or university. Units must be earned subsequent to the date of the Bachelor's degree.
• A maximum of fifteen (15) years credit is allowed for teaching experience in a public school (K-12) or an accredited private school (K-12).
