Job Description Vertex Pharmaceuticals is seeking a highly motivated intern to join our Integrated Pharmacology team in Boston, MA. This role involves collaborating with biologists to perform sophisticated biological experiments. Experience in cell culture or molecular techniques such as qPCR, Western blotting, immunocytochemistry, and imaging is preferred. The candidate must be a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Key Responsibilities: Work closely with Senior Scientists to plan, execute, and analyze experiments. Handle biological samples including cells and tissues. Culture mammalian cells and maintain sterile techniques. Perform immunocytochemistry and molecular techniques like Western blotting and qPCR. Maintain accurate records, including database entries and laboratory notebooks. Qualifications: Enrolled in a graduate or PhD program with a background in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, or related fields. Detail-oriented, motivated, efficient in team and independent work, adaptable to a fast-paced environment. Commitment to data integrity and good time management. Experience in cell culture and sterile techniques is preferred. Desire to contribute to an innovative company focused on transforming lives. Enrolled in an advanced degree program if graduating before July 2025. Available to work full-time (40 hours/week) from July to December 2025. Program Dates: July - December 2025, Full Time Compensation: Pay Range: $30.00 - $50.00 USD/hour This role is temporary, offered through a third-party agency. Compensation and benefits are provided by the agency. The pay range is an estimate; actual pay depends on skills and experience. Some roles may be eligible for overtime.
