Job Description

Dog Trainer – Join the Command Canine Team!

Are You a Dog Trainer Looking for a Better Opportunity?

  • Are you currently working for a dog training company that doesn’t feel like the right fit?
  • Do you have to find your own clients or be heavily involved in the sales process?
  • Do you feel undervalued, overworked, or frustrated with the lack of professionalism in your current company?
  • Did you start your own training business but realize you love training dogs—but not running a business?

If any of these sound like you, it’s time for a change.

At Command Canine, we’re here to raise the standard in the dog training industry—for trainers, clients, and dogs alike. We offer a structured, professional, and supportive work environment where you can focus on what you do best: training dogs and coaching owners.

Who We Are:

Command Canine is a leader in the dog training industry, specializing in behavior modification, reactivity cases, and confidence-building. Based in Charlotte, NC, we believe in:

  • Supporting our trainers. No more chasing clients or handling sales. We take care of that so you can focus on training.
  • Providing real results. We go beyond obedience, helping owners build lasting relationships with their dogs.
  • Raising the industry standard. Too many trainers feel burnt out or stuck in companies with poor leadership. We’re here to change that.
  • Earning trust in the industry. We are trusted and recommended by veterinarians and major rescue organizations—locally and across the U.S. We take on complex cases, working with owners and rescues to give dogs the best chance at success.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Professional dog trainers with at least three years of experience in obedience and behavior cases.
  • Trainers who can confidently handle reactivity, anxiety, and behavior modification cases.
  • Strong communicators who can teach owners effectively and professionally.
  • Trainers who want to be part of a positive, structured, and professional team.

What You’ll Do:

  • Conduct private training lessons at clients’ homes.
  • Work with 1-5 clients per day, with flexible scheduling.
  • Follow our proven training structure, developed by our Head Trainer.
  • Provide session notes, client homework, and updates through our CRM system.
  • Complete our structured onboarding phase to ensure your training style meets our high standards.

What We Offer:

  • $65 per 60-minute lesson (most trainers work 1-5 sessions daily).
  • Potential monthly earnings of $1,300 - $8,700 (based on demand and availability).
  • No client acquisition or sales are required—we handle that for you.
  • A professional, structured, and supportive environment—no more disorganized management or unclear expectations.
  • 1099 contractor-based position with flexible scheduling.

At Command Canine, we are changing the dog training industry—for trainers, clients, and dogs. If you want to work for a company that values, supports, and lets you do what you do best, apply today!
